We walk around Cohasset Village on summer evenings all the time - park at the Common, wander down to the harbor, back to play around the fountain, the usual. The Unitarian church on the Common is one of my favorite views in Cohasset. It's so quintessentially New England. On this evening walk, the sunset and colors in the sky were perfection.
I call this "Tourist at Home" because I wanted to reflect that even places that you bypass daily should be looked at with eyes of appreciation.
About Cohasset Common
Cohasset Common is the historic heart of Cohasset, Massachusetts, a small coastal town on the South Shore about 25 miles south of Boston. The Common is anchored by the First Parish Meetinghouse, a white clapboard church that's been a fixture of the village since the early 19th century, the kind of classic New England church that shows up on Christmas cards and in your imagination when someone says "small town Massachusetts."
The surrounding village is exactly what you picture when you think of coastal New England: a harbor within walking distance, independent shops and restaurants, old Colonial and Victorian homes, and a pace of life that feels genuinely different from the city. Cohasset is where I live and where I raise my kids, and this print is my love letter to it.
